1.1ROBOTICS
A Robot is a
programmable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move materials, parts,
tools, or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the
performance of variable tasks.
The field of robotics is in a state of rapid
developments. The robots are simply programmed to perform a series of repetitive
tasks. An automated device that performs functions ordinarily described to
humans or operates with what appears to be almost human intelligence.
Robots are not being generally adopted by
industry, let alone for use as an assembly elements. Now a days robots are used
in some applications like part inspection, welding, material handling, inventory
storage. The robotics finds application in movement using object recognition,
speech recognition.
1.2MICROPROCESSOR
The microprocessor is a programmable device
that has computing and decision making capability. The microprocessor can be
embedded in a large system, can be stand alone unit controlling processes.
