5.2 WEIGHT CALCULATION
To calculate the weight for the following mechanical components in the drawing can be done with the help of following example:
Example:

30 * 30 * 5 = 4500mm
Π *d2/4
d = 5
Π = 3.14
w = specific weight of steel
w = 7.85 * 10E-6
Value = 19.63
4500 - 19.63 = 4480.31mm
( Π * (15)2/4 ) * 20 = 3534.29mm
3534.29 * w = 0.0277
0.0277 + 0.03517 = 0.0629kg.
weight = 0.0629kg
From this example we can calculate for all other mechanical component.
